Lois A. Langfritz, 80, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, formerly of Eldora, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30am, Friday, November 16, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 614 Washington Street in Eldora. Visitation was 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldora. Interment was in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Eldora. Bonnie Lavonne Mitchell, 94, of Spirit Lake passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Lakes Regional Healthcare.
A memorial service was held on Monday, October 22, 2018, at the Spirit Lake United Methodist Church. There will be a private family burial in the Lakeland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Joyce Overocker, 86, has been called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 17, at Lakes Regional Healthcare, Spirit Lake, Iowa. She was surrounded by her loving family. Marge Husen, 91, of Okoboji, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake.

Merle “Jerry” Van Patten, 79, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Spirit Lake, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018, at his daughter’s home in Wallingford, Iowa.

Martha Jo (Pray) Woodard, 91, of Arnolds Park, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018, in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

Pamela Irene De Young, 65, of Spirit Lake passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Robert William Eddy, 62, of Vian, Oklahoma, formerly of Spirit Lake, passed away on September 25, 2018, at his home in Vian.
A graveside service was held on Friday, October 5, 2018, at the St. Margaret’s Cemetery in Spirit Lake. A reception was held at the VFW in Spirit Lake after the service. Ronald Leroy Dillon received his new body and entered the presence of Christ on Thursday, September 20, 2018. Ron was born on March 4, 1933, in Lake Park, Iowa, to Paul and Gladys (Anderson) Dillon. A visitation and service will be held on Thursday, September 27, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7851 West 119th, Overland Park, Kansas.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 21, at Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church, 1204 L Avenue, Milford, at 2:00pm, followed by a luncheon.

Harold Raymond Sietsema, 96, Watkins, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018, at the Paynesville Hospital. A memorial service was held at Kimball United Methodist Church in Kimball, Minnesota. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Milford Cemetery in Milford, Iowa.

Barbara J. Tollefson passed away peacefully on September 12, 2018, following a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Barbara celebrated life and family. She wanted no formal service, but there will be a celebration of her remarkable life on Saturday, October 20, from 4-6 p.m. at Arrowwood Resort in Okoboji, Iowa. Food, laughter and love will be in abundance. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Okoboji Foundation or the Okoboji Summer Theater.

James Vincent Trebbien, 95, of Milford, passed away on September 2, 2018, at Accura Healthcare in Milford, where he has been a resident for the last 2 years.

Betty Jean Bell died peacefully on August 21, 2018, in Ames, Iowa, surrounded by her family singing and reading her favorite scriptures. Memorial service to be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at 3:00pm at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1403 24th Street, Ames, IA 50010.

Rolland “Ron” Sander, 83 of rural Humboldt, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born December 18, 1934, in Dickinson County, Iowa, the son of Hugo Adolph and Lillian (Schuman) Sander. He was raised on a dairy farm in Dickinson County and graduated from Arnolds Park High School in 1953.

A memorial service for Irene Reed, age 93, of Milford, was held Monday, August 13, 2018, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Arnolds Park. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Irene passed away August 9, 2018, at Accura Healthcare in Milford, Iowa at ninety-three years of age. Turner Jenness Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

David P. Mills died peacefully on August 3, 2018, in Bradenton Florida, at the age of 64. Dave was born on December 7, 1953, to Jean and James Mills.
At Dave’s request, his body was donated for the advancement of science. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, September 9, at Warner’s Chapel in Everly, Iowa. Time is yet to be decided. In lieu of flowers, memorial funds will be donated to hospice.

Jimmie (Jim) Keen Linn passed away suddenly on August 3rd, 2018, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A gathering is being held August 12, at Florence Park in Milford, Iowa, 1:00 to 4:00pm. The memorial service will go from 2:00 till 3:00pm, with a luncheon. If you knew Jim you knew his love for classic cars, if you have one of your own please feel encouraged to show them off while honoring Jim’s memory.

Richard Wayne Krause, the son of Sarah (Lamb) and Clarence Krause, was born on September 9, 1937, in Algona, Iowa.
Richard went to his eternal home on July 22, 2018, after a short stay at Accura Healthcare of Spirit Lake at the age of eighty.

A funeral service for Kenny Beck, 71, of Spirit Lake, will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake. Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Tuesday, July 24, with the family present from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Sandra Rae Rowland (nee Loof), 69, a long-time resident of Boise, Idaho, passed quietly in her sleep on July 20, 2018. She was born on December 17, 1948, in Cherokee, Iowa, to Marvin and Helen Loof. Sandra was a graduate of Arnolds Park High School Class of 1967 in Arnolds Park, Iowa.

Johannah Crist, age 91 of Sibley, Iowa, died Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley.
Memorial service was Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at United Methodist Church in Harris, with Pastor Emmanuel T. Naweji officiating.

Luke Bryan Rouse was born on May 13, 1982. He died on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the age of 36.

Terry Olson, 66 of Terril, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 22, 2018. Terry was born October 14, 1951.
A Celebration of Life gathering for Terry will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 5:00pm, at the Olson Farm, 2857 220th Street, Terril.
