Doris Ann Johnson, 82, of Arnolds Park, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Lakes Regional Health Care in Spirit Lake, following a courageous battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake. Rev. David Simonsen will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date at the Lakeview Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Visitation will begin at 10:00am on Tuesday prior to the service at the church. A funeral service for Barrett Gray, age 65, of Spirit Lake, was held Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 10:30am, at United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake.
Barrett Wayne Gray, 65, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, passed away at home on March 31, 2019, after a 7 year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service for Lawrence Gath, age 84, of Spirit Lake, was held Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 1:30pm, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake. Burial was at Silver Lake Cemetery.
Lawrence Donald Gath, the son of Ernest and Anna (Koster) Gath, was born May 9, 1934, in Round Lake, Minnesota. He graduated from Lake Park High School in 1953.

Gerald Devore Cummins, 89, of Arnolds Park, formerly of Sanborn passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.

A funeral service for Janice Wilson, age 80, of Milford, was held Monday, March 18, 2019, at First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji. Burial was at Milford Cemetery. Jan passed away March 8, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Stockdale, Jerome Edward, (Jerry), of Queenstown, New Zealand, passed away peacefully at Lakes District Hospital, Queenstown, on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at age 88. Jerry was born in Estherville, Iowa, to Aline Martin Stockdale and Lloyd Eseke Stockdale. He married Barbara Pierson and they had three children, Sara Stockdale McFarlin, Jay Edward Stockdale, and Maria Ann (Mia) Stockdale. After their divorce, Jerry moved to Okoboji. In 1982 Jerry married Sally Woltz and they have one son, John R. Stockdale. A dual national, Jerry was a proud citizen of NZ, where Jerry, Sally, and John made their family home twenty years ago.

Michele “Micky” Jensen, 68, of West Fargo, North Dakota, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019, surrounded by family at home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Grady Parham, 91, a resident of 2702 Sunner Avenue in Spirit Lake, passed away Saturday February 23, 2019, at the Accura Nursing Home in Spirit Lake. Born Grady Joseph Parham on February 5, 1928, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Henry Grady Parham of Georgia and Adeline Catherine (Snyder) Parham of Kentucky. Grady graduated in 1946 from St. Xavier High School in Louisville and received his BS in Marketing from the University of Louisville in 1954.

Marjorie “Marj” Roseberry, 98, of Milford passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at her home on West Lake Okoboji.

Dwane H. Netsch, 90, of Spirit Lake, formerly of Laurens, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake.

A celebration of life church service for Anna (Ann) Katherine Dodge, 98, of Terril, will be Saturday April 13, 2019 at First Lutheran Church of Milford at 10:00.
Anna Katherine Dodge, the daughter of Amour and Katie (Seidel) Harris, was born near rural Dickens, Iowa on May 2, 1920. Ann joined an older sister and a brother. The Harris family farmed near the Dickens and Cornell area, and she graduated from Cornell in May, 1937.

Keith D. Rick, 83, of Spirit Lake, and formerly of Urbana, died Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Accura Health Care of Spirit Lake. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2019, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 East Sixth Street in Vinton with Rev. Jessica Crane-Munoz officiating. David K. Baker, age 57, of Terril, Iowa, formerly of Holstein, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at the Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  A funeral mass was held on Friday, January 25, 2019, at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church of Holstein with the Msgr. Kenneth A. Seifried officiating.  Burial was at the Calvary Cemetery of Holstein. A visitation was held on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Nicklas D. Stanley Tripp, Sr. was born July 23, 1925, to Herman K. and Fae Tripp. He received his education in Excelsior, Iowa schools and attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake.

Lois A. Langfritz, 80, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, formerly of Eldora, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30am, Friday, November 16, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 614 Washington Street in Eldora. Visitation was 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldora. Interment was in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Eldora.
