Christopher Leonard Anson of Sioux Rapids, Iowa, was born on September 11, 1963, in Presque Isle, Maine, to Geoffrey Rupert Anson of Ascot, England; and Verna Hall Anson of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.

Gerald B. “Jerry” McGuire, 83, of Sioux City, Iowa, formerly Spirit Lake, Iowa, passed away peacefully February 18, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Cheryl Ann Ricklefs, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, passed away peacefully in her home under Hospice care on February 17,2022.

A funeral service for Steven Shuberg, age 73, of Spirit Lake, was held Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake. Burial was at Willow Creek Cemetery in Royal.

A funeral service for Verne Hansen of Milford was held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church in Milford. Burial was at Milford Cemetery.

A funeral service for Bob Ahrenstorff, 80, of Lake Park, was held Monday, February 7, 2022, at United Methodist Church in Lake Park. Burial was at Silver Lake Cemetery.

Anna Marie Groth, the daughter of Dave and Darlene (McCabe) Feller was born December 13, 1955, in Oakland, California.

Timothy Edward Kelly was born to Margaret (Maine) Kelly and Patrick Kelly of Estherville and Spirit Lake, Iowa, along with seven siblings. He passed away while in hospice in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Jacob James De Jong was born on February 25, 1930, to Peter Arian and Elsie Wilhelmina (DeRoo) De Jong.

Billie Ann Schuett, the daughter of Raymond and Helen Epping Kriens, was born February 16, 1932, near Hartley, Iowa. She received her early education and graduated from Moneta High School in 1950.

Charles (Chuck) Melvin Hiner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the age of 82.

Wayne Stowell (formerly of Spirit Lake, Iowa) passed away on January 8, 2022, in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was 69 years old. 

A visitation for Sheryl J. Jones, 78, of Estherville,will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 5:00-7:00pm, at the Henry Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville, Iowa.

A funeral service for Jim Radcliffe, 73, of Spirit Lake, was held Friday, January 7, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake. Interment was at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake.

Henry Alan (Hank) Pieper was born December 22, 1955, to Charles and Aubrey (Rowe) Pieper in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Sandra Dee Burnett, age 79, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 6, 2021, at the Accura Health Care Center in Spirit Lake. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.

Randy Devall, 58, of Spirit Lake, passed away the evening of December 5, 2021, at Lakes Regional Healthcare, after a long battle with Melanoma, with his loving wife and daughters by his side.

Carol M. Morrow, 82, passed away on December 3, 2021, in Fishers, Indiana, following a brief illness.

A funeral service for Earl Sporrer, 93, of Milford, Iowa, will be held Friday December 10, at 10:30 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Milford. A visitation will be held at St. Joseph Parish Center on Thursday December 9, from 5:00-7:00pm.

Mark Bergquist, 62, of Spirit Lake passed in peace on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa
