Henry Alan (Hank) Pieper was born December 22, 1955, to Charles and Aubrey (Rowe) Pieper in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

A memorial service for Nancy Lathrop, age 88, of Milford, will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 11:00am, at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Arnolds Park.

Sandra Dee Burnett, age 79, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 6, 2021, at the Accura Health Care Center in Spirit Lake. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.

Randy Devall, 58, of Spirit Lake, passed away the evening of December 5, 2021, at Lakes Regional Healthcare, after a long battle with Melanoma, with his loving wife and daughters by his side. 

A funeral service for Calvin Dodge, 96, of Terril, was held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at United Methodist Church in Terril. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery. 

Carol M. Morrow, 82, passed away on December 3, 2021, in Fishers, Indiana, following a brief illness.

A funeral service for Earl Sporrer, 93, of Milford, Iowa, will be held Friday December 10, at 10:30 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Milford. A visitation will be held at St. Joseph Parish Center on Thursday December 9, from 5:00-7:00pm.

Mark Bergquist, 62, of Spirit Lake passed in peace on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa

Lillian Ruth Johnson, the daughter of Ralph and Mable (Purvis) Severson, was born December 1, 1932, in Cambridge, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Grace Catlin-Ritzer, of Spirit Lake, will be held Saturday, November 20, from 12:00-3:00pm, at Grace Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake.

A memorial service for Lorraine Reimers, age 85, of Lakefield, Minnesota, was held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 3:00pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley, Minnesota. Lorraine passed away on November 10, 2021. 

A funeral service for Janet Kent, age 83, of Milford, was held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at First Lutheran Church in Milford. Burial was in the North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Spencer. 

A graveside service for Ed Wilson, 83, of Spencer, was held Friday, November 12, 2021, at the Okoboji Cemetery in Arnolds Park.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Emerald Hills Golf Course in Arnolds Park for Jan (Bennett) Despain, age 69, of Milford, Iowa.

A funeral service for Ernestine Larson, 89, of Milford, was held Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji. Burial was at Milford Cemetery.

Ralph Olaf Lundquist passed away peacefully in the early morning of October 23, 2021, with family present. Funeral services and military burial will be held December 8, 2021, 2:00 PM, at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with immediate family. Condolences may be sent to the attention of Nissa Lundquist 3352 100th Street, Estherville, Iowa 51334. Arrangements and cremation will be handled by Crescent Tide Cremation Services in St Paul, Minnesota.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Janet Bottolfsen, age 73, of Milford. 

Joseph Elmer Meyer, 91, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Family and friends are invited to graveside services Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10:00 am, at Calvary Cemetery, in Milford. There will be a reception following at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Milford, in the parish hall. 

C.W. Scott, best known as “Scotty” or Bill, was born to Clarence and Gertrude (Fisher) Scott in Rolfe, Iowa, on October 6, 1939. He passed away in Rochester, Minnesota, at the exact age of 82 on October 6, 2021. 

Deanna Rae Orwig, the daughter of Harold and Darlene (Wothuis) Herrin was born on November 16, 1948, in Spencer, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in the Milford and Spencer, Iowa, areas where she attended school and graduated from Milford High School in 1967.

Gordon Donald “Gordy” Fischer, one of three sons born to Art L. and Lucile H. (Clausen) Fischer, entered the world on October 3, 1942, in the family farmhouse south of Lake Park, IA. He grew up as most rural kids do – going to school, helping his Dad around the farm and playing when he could. He received his education at Sioux Valley, MN, graduating from Sioux Valley High School with the class of 1960.

David Ralph Smith, 70, of Milford, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, September 30th.

Mark Elon Donkersloot “Maven”, the fourth of five children born to Ed and Alma (Rons) Donkersloot, entered the world on July 14, 1957, in Sheldon, Iowa.

Boodie was born on June 29, 1954, to Walter and Rosemary Walton Koenen of Spencer, Iowa.

erry Owen Menefee of Casa Grande, Arizona, passed away on August 17, 2021. He was surrounded by family and passed peacefully. He was 79 years old.

Bette Jo Miller, 95, of Spirit Lake, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Accura Healthcare of Spirit Lake.

A visitation for JoAnn Hamm, age 93, of Arnolds Park, was held Wednesday, September 8, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. A private family burial was held at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.

eona Mae Wyllie Moyer Winslow, 96, of Milford, Iowa, died Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Accura Health Care in Milford, Iowa.

Funeral services for Barb Hanson, age 86, of Spirit Lake, were held on Friday, August 20, 2021, at the Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Interment was in the Lakeview Cemetery in Spirit Lake.

Funeral services for Eloise Goodell, age 92, of Sibley,formerly of Lake Park,were held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the United Methodist Church in Lake Park

Memorial services for David “Bud” McClure, age 89, of Lake Park, were held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park. Burial was in the Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park.

Cheryl “Gidget” Colleen Halbur, the daughter of Elmer and Vera (Gillett) Henningsen, was born April 6, 1948, in Estherville, Iowa.
