Lorraine Joan Reimers “Sis” was born to Albert and Dorothy (Monroe) Wulf on December 4, 1935, in Sioux Valley, Minnesota. She graduated from Sioux Valley High School in 1953. On June 27, 1954, she married Melvin Reimers at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux Valley. They made their home on the family farm in Sioux Valley where they lived their entire life, with the exception of 1956-1958 when Melvin served in the Army. Lorraine worked in the ASCS Office in Worthington and later in Lakefield, Minnesota, until her retirement in 1997. She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aide and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In her younger years, Lorraine enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling trips with Melvin and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, canning and baking. Friends and family never left her home hungry as she was particularly known for her chocolate chip cookies and pan-fried walleye. Above all else, Lorraine deeply loved her family and cherished every family gathering.
Lorraine had the innocence of a child, the patience of a saint, and the wisdom of the ages. She set the standard for what it meant to live selflessly and to love unconditionally. She loved every person she encountered and was gifted in finding joy in everything she did. She was never short of a story or a listening ear, and was a stranger to no one.
