Kate Williams Nelson, a one-of-a-kind soul, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to Bonnie and Bert Williams, she was the life of the party who brought laughter, music, and art into every room.
Kate’s proudest legacy lives on in her daughters, Amy (Jason) Hennies and Kari (Heath) Jacobsen, and her four cherished grandchildren, Tegan and Jaxon Hennies, and Asa and Raya Jacobsen. She is also survived by her siblings Judy and Clyde, her lifelong friends-turned-sisters Debbie and Janis, and her loving partner, Jeff Hawn. She joins her five late siblings Dennis, Bill, Linda, Cindy, and Mel in rest.
Unapologetically herself, Kate never followed the rules and turned ordinary moments into unforgettable memories. Her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed and forever celebrated by all who loved her.
A Celebration of Life was held on Monday, August 17, 2026. Turner Jenness Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
