A private family Celebration of Life Service for Marlene Stokka, age 80, of Milford, will be held Thursday, December 22, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake.

Betsy Ann Ziegenbusch Mudd was born June 24th, 1982, to John and Susan Ziegenbusch, in Maquoketa, Iowa. Betsy spent her childhood in Spirit Lake, Iowa, where she could be found smelling the flowers, dancing in the rain, creating something out of nothing, and entertaining those around her with her wit and imagination.

Robert Burkhart Albright was born on a farm near Ruthven, Iowa, on March 17, 1929.

Paula Gerdes, 70, of Spirit Lake, passed away on Monday, November, 14, 2022, at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, Iowa.

Steven Ihnen, 68, of Spirit Lake, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, surrounded by his family at his home in Spirit Lake.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dale Langel, 86, of Milford, was held Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Milford.

Stanley Edward Sherrill, age 94, passed away peacefully in his sleep at a hospice October 26, 2022, in Atlanta (GA) with his son by his side.

Daniel Enderson passed away October 22, 2022, in Tempe, Arizona, at the age of 65.

Robert “Bob” Burley, 83, of Spirit Lake, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley.

Debra “Debbie” Spangler, 67, Clarinda, Iowa, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022. She was born April 4, 1955, in Estherville, Iowa, to Warren Fink and Lois (Hanson) Zitterich.

A Memorial Service for Craig Heuer, age 64, of Lake Park, was held Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park. Burial was at Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park.

A funeral service for Ruth Bonsall, age 93, of Spirit Lake was held Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at the United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake. Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery in Spirit Lake.

Richard P. Bruns, 87, of Spirit Lake, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Lakes Regional Health Care in Spirit Lake. 

Harlan Russell “Speed” Maas, the son of Harley and Marian (Russell) Maas, was born on December 12, 1934, in Terril, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life for Nancy Younie, age 74, of Lake Park will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at 10:30am, at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park.

Teresa Lee Hanson, daughter of James and Devona (Henely) Schneider, was born December 26, 1952, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She received her education in Graettinger and Ruthven schools. Teresa was blessed with three children, Jennifer, Laura and Karen.

Ethel Wilson, 92, of Milford passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her home in Milford.  

A funeral service for Joni Woodley-Hawks, age 67, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was held for her close friends and family.

Travis Sweisberger, of Spirit Lake, passed away on September 16th, 2022, at the age of 48.

Michael Lorrain Noteboom was born September 27, 1929, to Michael and Lillian Husman Noteboom in Brandt, South Dakota.

Rhonda Kae (Swanson) Wenck,72, passed away on August 29th at her home in Lake Forest, California. A visitation will be held Rev. Perry DeGroot will officiate. Interment at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.

Michael Kidd, 70, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake.

Thomas (Tom) Larson, 74, of Milford, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Sara Mae Higgins Koepp passed away Friday night, August 5, 2022, in the skilled nursing facility (Accura) in Milford Iowa.

A memorial service for Dwayne “Dewey” Anderson, 69, of Spirit Lake, was held Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church in Milford. 

Robert Wayne Strouse passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the age of 82. “Coach Strouse” was a coach, mentor, motivator, teacher, brother, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

Max Cory was born December 18th, 1944, to Lois and Max Cory, Sr. Max and his family spent summers in Lake Okoboji, setting in stone a love for sailing, skiing, boating, and all things Okoboji.

Marvin Nile Harris, 66, of Spirit Lake passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Accura Healthcare in Spirit Lake with family by his side. 

James T. “Jim” Umbarger, 88, passed away July 26, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Duane Spangler, age 65, of Lehr, North Dakota,formerly of Jackson, Minnesota, will be held on August 20, at 11:00 a.m., at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Jackson with Father Jonathan Fasnacht officiating.

Randall Wayne Glover as born on May 21, 1952, in Terril, Iowa, to parents Wayne Darwin Glover and Peggy Lou Houser Glover and passed away on July 10, 2022, in Memphis, Tennessee, after an extended hospital stay.
