It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Idella Lorain (Osborn) Hesby, 60, of Milford on Monday, December 16, 2024. Idella was surrounded by her loved ones by her side at her home in Milford.
Idella was born on September 10, 1964, to Douglas and Dianne (Brightman) Osborn in Jacksonville, FL. Idella earned her GED and continued on to pursue a CNA certification from Iowa Lakes Community College. She met the love of her life, Doug Hesby, through Doug’s brother Denny. From there the two found love in a whirlwind romance that blossomed into a love that bonded the two together. Idella and Doug were united in marriage on March 13, 1987. Idella continued her giving by working as an in-home healthcare provider and a homemaker raising her three children.
Idella was a member of the Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church and participated with the Respite Angels Organization. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family, her children, granddaughter and volunteering at her church.
Idella’s lasting memory will be held in the hearts of everyone she met including her husband, Doug Hesby, of Milford; children, Curtis Osborn of Lone Tree, CO; Cindy (Steve) Rodriquez of Ft. Collins, CO; and Christina Thorson and her significant other, David Brinkman of Milford; granddaughter, Allie Rodriquez of Ft. Collins, CO; brothers, Wade Osborn and Joe Osborn and her sister, Donna McKay.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Duane Osborn, Della Miller, Delores Osborn and Dorthey Laufer.
A celebration of life for Idella will be held at the Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Online condolences may be left at www.spiritlakefuneralhome.com
