William “Bill” Cochran was born on January 29, 1935, to George and Alice (King) Cochran in Pickford, Michigan.
On September 19, 1954, Bill married the love of his life, Gwendolin Ward. To this union three children were born, Mark William, Ronald Wayne, and Timothy Donald.
Bill and Gwen were long-time residents of Fostoria, Iowa. They raised their family in Fostoria where Bill worked at the Fostoria Elevator, Spencer Packing Plant, Eaton Corporation, and retired from Stylecraft. He enjoyed horses, camping, going on trail rides and attending horse shows. He enjoyed building horse carts and selling them at the Spencer sale barn. He was a man of strict conviction, stating he had never in his entire life smoked a cigarette or took an alcoholic drink. Raising his boys, his sixty-six year marriage to Gwen, and numerous friends were what he was most proud of.
Bill is survived by his oldest child Mark, his sister Madeline, sister Wilma and Ronald Quinlan and his sister Mary and Bob Keegan along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gwendolin, their children Ronald and Timothy, his parents, Gwen’s parents and Gwen’s brothers Merton and Duane whom he was very close with.
It was his wish to not have any services.
