Susan MacMillan, 72, of Spirit Lake, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Aspire Nursing Home in Estherville, Iowa.
A memorial service for Susan will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Online condolences may be left at www.spiritlakefuneralhome.com.
Susan was born on June 9, 1951. She was raised by Elston and Vivian (Arthur) Frost. After graduating from high school, she attended a few years of higher education. After she returned home, she was united in marriage to Austin “Mac” MacMillan in 1973 in Clearwater, FL. She will be remembered by her co-workers and those who knew “Sue Mac” in her industry.
In her free time, she enjoyed reading books, crossword puzzles, birdwatching, and trivia. She also enjoyed watching movies as she was known by her family and friends as a movie buff.
She is survived by her son Ben MacMillan and fiancée Kareen Parchment of Spirit Lake; grandchildren Kaanen MacMillan and Krishanua Allen. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Mac.
