Pam Foxhoven, 69, of Spirit Lake, died May 19, 2025, at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 9, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Visitation will take place from 9:00 to 11:00am prior to the service, with a rosary recited at 9:00am. Lunch will immediately follow Mass, and burial will take place at a later date. Pamela Sue, daughter of Alvin and Mary (Boyles) Foxhoven, was born June 9, 1955, in Spencer, Iowa. She grew up in Arnolds Park, Iowa, where her parents ran Foxie’s resort. She attended and graduated from Arnolds Park Community High School in 1973.
Pam made her home and loved living on Center Lake in Spirit Lake. She enjoyed gardening, visiting the local farmers and flea markets, crocheting, needlepoint, concerts in the park, attending the summer theater and going to movies with her niece Kristina. Pam loved spending time with family and crocheted baby blankets for all her nieces and nephews.
Pam started her career as a nurse’s aide, working her way up to medical aide, and went on to obtain her Associate Degree in Nursing from Iowa Lakes Community College in 1979. She cared for many during the 25 years in her field.
Pam passed away May 19, 2025, at Lakes Regional Hospital in Spirit Lake at the age of 69.
Pam is remembered by her sister Kim Cross (Sonny) of Spencer, IA; brothers, Dave Foxhoven (Pat) of Arnolds Park, IA, Doug Foxhoven of Estherville, IA, and Mark Foxhoven (Louise) of Spencer, IA; nieces Kristina Smith (Austen), Jamie Igou (Aaron), and Jane Pogge / Weaver; nephews, John Cross, Jonathan Foxhoven, Jim Foxhoven, and Trevor Foxhoven; great-niece Hazel Smith; great-nephews, Kade, Grant, Noah, Calvin, and Zadkiel Cross; and daughter Kelli Robinson.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Mary Foxhoven.
