Naomi Bueltel, 96, of Superior, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Accura Healthcare of Milford.
A funeral service will be held, at 2:00 p.m.,Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the Terril United Methodist Church in Terril. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. The burial will take place in the Superior Township Cemetery in Superior. Naomi was born on October 23, 1927, to Merrill E. and Adelia M. (Westbrook) Carnahan in Estherville, IA. She graduated from Superior High School. Naomi was united in marriage to Earl J. Bueltel on June 21, 1947, in Estherville. They farmed together for many years, splitting the duties of farming, and raising their three children. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2000, in Estherville.
She was a member of the Terril United Methodist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, and knitting. She was an excellent seamstress and will be fondly remembered for her cooking.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Donald (Dixie) Bueltel of Terril, Douglas (Susan) Bueltel of Spirit Lake; Diane Chaplin of Spirit Lake; four grandchildren, Darin (Dena) Bueltel, Eric (Kilynn) Bueltel, Jonathan (Bobbi) Bueltel, and Reid Chaplin and his significant other,Ashley Fargen; eight great-grandchildren and a sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister Ellen Currie.
