A memorial service for Mary Krieger, age 92, of Dickens was held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Terril. Visitation took place prior to the service at the church in Terril. Burial will be held at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Terril.
Mary Gretchen Halquist Krieger was born June 14, 1932, to Clayton and Gladice Halquist in Spencer, Iowa. Mary was baptized on June 24, 1932, in Faith Lutheran Church, Rembrandt, Iowa. She was confirmed on March 25, 1945, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Terril, Iowa, where she was a lifelong member.
Mary passed away on March 16, 2025, at age 92.
On June 25, 1948, Mary married Wayne Krieger in Terril, Iowa. To this union, four children were born: Thomas, Jayne, Kristine, and Mary Kay. Wayne and Mary were married 71 years until Wayne’s death in 2019. They spent their life farming near Terril.
Mary was predeceased by her parents; husband, Wayne; son-in-law, Timothy Larson; grandson, Kristopher Jon George; great-grandson, Cash Sheffield Rolling.
Left to cherish Mary’s memory are her son, Thomas (Allyn) Krieger of Spencer; daughters, Jayne (Jamie) George of Lander, WY; Kristine Larson of Dickens; Mary Kay (Philip) Rolling of Milford; sister Linda Halquist Drucker of Spencer; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Karla (Roger) Fuentes, Corina and Mary Jane; Clayton Krieger; Ethan, Preston, Kylie and Olivia; Nathan (Randi) George, Nolan and Junia; Seth (Christina) George, Bronson and Stella; Kimberly Matthews, Jacob, Alexa and Maddax; Taya (Eddie) Larson and Jaxson; Alisha (Shane) Meyer, Ty and Gage; Levi (Terri) Larson, Taylor, Alyssa and Lane; Dylan (Samantha) Rolling, Indica, Dez, Soli and Vivvi; Daniel (Lindsey) Rolling and Jasper; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Turner Jenness Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
