A Celebration Gathering for Jim “Benji” Bockman, age 68, of Milford, will be held at the Outback Lounge, from 4:00-6:00pm, on Saturday, July 31, 2021.
Jim “Benji” Bockman was born on October 15, 1952, to Art and Shirley Bockman in Faith, South Dakota. When he was a child, the Bockman family moved from Faith to Lake Park, Iowa. Benji graduated from Harris-Lake Park High School in 1970. In 1979, he started his own business, Milford Well Service. His son joined him in operation of the business in 2015.
In his younger years, Benji enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends, making trips to the Black Hills and to the Mississippi River. Benji’s hobbies included golfing, gardening, making maple syrup and deer sausage, being outdoors and hunting. He was a lifetime member of Pheasants Forever. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Benji passed away July 20, 2021, at his home in Milford, at the age of 68. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deb; son, Jim Bockman (Danni) of Milford; step-daughter, Tatia Krieger of Arnolds Park; grandchildren, Maddie and Rylee Bockman, Alanna Krieger; brother, Jack (Ellen) Bockman.
Preceding Benji in death were his parents, Art and Shirley Bockman, and his brother, Terry Bockman.
