A Memorial Service for Jeff McNab, age 70, of Lake Park, will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11:00am, at Harris Methodist Church in Harris. Visitation will take place prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00am, at the church in Harris.
Jeffrey John McNab, the son of Alfred and Thelma McNab, was born on March 25, 1954, in Worthington, Minnesota. Growing up, Jeff lived in Rushmore, Minnesota. In 1969, the family moved to Slayton, Minnesota, and attended high school where he graduated in 1973. After graduation, Jeff enlisted in the United States Army. During his time in the service, Jeff served over in Germany.
He started his family in Worthington where he worked at Hy-Vee Bakery for 11 years then he opened the bakery in Adrian, Minnesota. After the bakery closed, he went back to Hy-Vee, settling in Lake Park and working in Spirit Lake until his retirement. After retirement, he was lucky enough to spend time in Hawaii with his daughter and family.
In his free time, Jeff enjoyed motorcycling and often reminisced about his cross country motorcycle drive west. He loved being on the lake, boating, waterskiing, and enjoyed watching the sunsets with his daughter on the dock at Trappers Bay in Lake Park. His grandkids were the love of his life and ultimate joy. In his later years, he enjoyed sitting outside watching birds and reading.
Jeff passed away on April 24, 2024.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Christopher McNab; daughter, Emily (Keiha) Gomes; step-daughter, Jamie (Brian) Kelly; grandkids: Grace and Sawyer Gomes, Finley McNab; step-grandkids: River and Ruger Kelly; brother, Bill McNab; sister, Kris (Bob) Jandl; sister-in-law, Marilyn Gregg; brother-in-law, Jim Michaelson; brother-in-law, Lowell Baumgarn; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve McNab; two sisters, Pat Baumgarn and Cheryl Michaelson; and sister-in-law, Correen McNab.
