A Celebration of Life will be held for Jeanne Boley on July 18th, 2026, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Gilbert Park in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
Jeanne Boley passed away on March 24th, 2026, in Wakonda, SD. She was born on September 18, 1948, in Duluth, MN to Col. Robert Miller and his wife, Emily. She grew up in Minnesota, the Netherlands, and West Virginia, just to name a few places, before joining the convent. Afterward, she learned to make ceramics and found the love of her life, Norm. After having two boys, Jamie and Jer, she started a small business called J.B Ceramics in her basement that eventually moved to Hill Avenue in downtown Spirit Lake. She was a strong advocate for local businesses and enjoyed engaging in festivities downtown.
Family and friends of Jeanne will always remember her love of books, flowers, and crafts. She was an avid gardener, meticulous canner, and a Scrabble genius. She loved being outdoors and going for walks, especially with her dog.
Left to cherish her memory are people she loved including her sons, Jamie and Jeremy (Mariana), her grandchildren, Lucia and Sabina, and her step children, Carrie and Wendell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; her sister, Judi; and her brothers, Jerry and George.
