Henry Alan (Hank) Pieper was born December 22, 1955, to Charles and Aubrey (Rowe) Pieper in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He had a very deep faith for Our Lord and Savior, which he met on December 13, 2021. He graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, Minnesota, in 1974. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Army and was a proud Desert Storm Veteran. Hank lived in Iowa, Minnesota, Germany, Kentucky, New Jersey, and Oregon. He was a very skilled Master Carpenter and worked all his life doing what he loved. He was a great teacher to his younger siblings and took great care of them growing up. If you asked him if he loved animals more than people he would say “yes, I do!”
Preceding him in death were his mother, Audrey; brother, Clarence (Clancy) Pieper; grandparents, Dean and Viola Rowe; Charlie and Ruby Pieper; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and brother/uncle Leonard (Lenny) Rowe.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Charles Pieper of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Son, Jason (Alicia) Beckmann of New Prague, Minnesota; daughters Sarah (Ed) Lenz of Kenneth, Minnesota, and Sonya Pieper of Leesburg, New Jersey; grandchildren, Kamryn and Jackson Beckmann, Jacob, Kaysie and Joseph Lenz; brothers, Carl (Karen) Pieper of Frazee, Minnesota, and Bob (Lana) Metli of Ault, Colorado; sisters, Shirley Crawmer of Spencer, Iowa, Carrie (Larry) Johnson of Estherville, Iowa, and Audra (Rod) Sowles of Brewster, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Barb Pieper of Windom, Minnesota; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncle Virgile; good friends and all of his military brothers and sisters.
