Ethel Wilson, 92, of Milford passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her home in Milford.
Ethel was born on July 19, 1930, in Paris, Illinois, to Joseph and Helen (Wood). She graduated from Spencer High School in Spencer, Iowa. Ethel was united in marriage to Oral W. Wilson on February 10, 1949, in Spencer. The couple moved and lived in California for 30 plus years before moving back to Milford in 1995. While living in California, she was a office manager for a Catholic Church in Canyon, California.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Milford, CDA, and Quilters Zonta International in California. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, fishing, and hiking.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Gawronski of Springtown, PA; Annamarie Hart of Milford, IA; Eunice Wilson of Milford; son, Bernie Wilson of Springtown, PA; brother, John Erdman of Fostoria; sister, Mary (Art) Hamrick of Spencer; 9 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Harvey Lowry and Francis Erdman; sister Josephine (Clarence) Halbur; and her son, David.
