A funeral service for Dennis Stahly, age 64, of Round Lake, Minnesota, will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park, Iowa. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Harris. A visitation for Dennis will be on Tuesday, July 16th, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with the family present, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Lake Park.
Dennis Lee Stahly, son of Richard and Stella (Nelsen) Stahly, was born on April 17, 1960, in Worthington, MN. He passed away on July 12, 2024, at his home in Round Lake, MN.
Dennis graduated from Harris-Lake Park High School in 1978 and pursued his passion for electronics at Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City, completing two years of study. Following his education, Dennis began his career in TV and VCR Sales, Service and Repair, eventually establishing Stahly Sight & Sound in Milford. After injury to his knees, he closed his shop and furthered his education at ILCC, specializing in accounting. Dennis did administrative work at JBS and concluded his career at Ani-Logics Outdoor in Worthington, MN. Dennis resided on the family farm in Harris, IA, and also called LeMars, IA, Brewster, MN, Worthington, MN, and Round Lake, MN, home throughout his life.
Dennis was a devoted member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, actively participating in St. Johns Lutheran Church in Harris and Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park. He served his church communities as elder, treasurer, secretary and by teaching adult and high school studies.
His faith and his family were the most important things in his life. He was a long time suffering Vikings fan and had a love for the original Star Trek series. Dennis enjoyed recording family events in both audio and video and took pride in leading the Blessing during family holiday gatherings.
Dennis is survived by his loving mother, Stella Stahly; his brothers, Dave (Lori) Stahly and Doug (Julie) Stahly; nieces, Sarah (Ryan) Carpenter, Lindsey (Nick) Haynes, Lacey (Adam) Reese-Hoogeterp, Lindsey Reese and Lexi Stahly; great-nieces and nephews, Brienna, Tyson, Avery, Kya, Maddy, Lincoln, Summer, Justine, Landen, Annistyn, Vienna and Beckham.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Stahly; his grandparents, Marvin and Lillie Nelsen and Rude and Etta Stahly.
