A Memorial Service for Delores Boles, age 92, of Milford will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:00pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Spirit Lake. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service at the Lakes Area Senior Center in Spirit Lake.
Delores May Boles, age 92, of Milford, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at Accura Healthcare in Milford, Iowa.
Delores was born on May 1, 1933, to Ralph and Beulah (Hanson) Hunt on the family farm west of Milford. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Milford Community School in 1952. On March 22, 1953, she was united in marriage to Ralph Merlin Boles in Milford. Together, they made their home at 1502 10th Street, where she lived for 68 years.
On July 7, 1957, Delores was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A devoted member of the Spirit Lake congregation, she remained active in her ministry throughout her life, faithfully sharing her hope in Jehovah’s Kingdom with others until her passing.
Delores will be remembered for her warm hospitality, always ready with a fresh pot of coffee and a stash of frozen cookies. She had a love for fishing, animals, and tending to her flowers.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Boles of Ventura, California; her daughter, Donna (Steve) Hollier of Milford, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; and many spiritual friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; her three sisters; Gladys Hunt; and four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
