A funeral service for Beverly Stahly, age 95, of Lake Park, will be Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Harris. Visitation for Beverly will be on Tuesday, June 4th, from 5:00-7:00 PM, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake.
Beverly Ruth (DeLint) Stahly was born May 15th, 1929, at Hartley, Iowa, to Henry and Helen DeLint. She attended Harris school and graduated in 1947. She then went to Business School in Sioux City, Iowa,and later was employed at the Farm Bureau and extension office in Spencer, Iowa.
On October 18th, 1949,she was united in marriage to Russell Stahly in the Methodist Church in Harris. They lived in Harris until they started farming in 1951 on the John Bergman farm by Harris. In 1954,they moved to the Arnold Stoltenberg farm north of Lake Park, Iowa,where they farmed and lived until 1986 when they moved to their home in Lake Park, Iowa.
Beverly and Russell had three children: Sheryl, Michael, and Susan.
They were members of Concordia Lutheran Church in Lake Park. Beverly was a member of Ladies Guild and taught Sunday School and Catechism for many years. She always appreciated Bible study classes.
Beverly enjoyed gardening, yard work, bird watching, reading and studying God’s word, and her Daily Devotions. When younger, she golfed, and she and Russell did much traveling. They spent winter months in Arizona for several years. Beverly enjoyed her family and keeping up with all their activities.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, her parents; her sister,June Mickelson; her daughter,Sheryl; and her granddaughter,Robin Stahly.
Beverly Ruth Stahly passed away,at the age of 95,at the Salem Lutheran home in Elkhorn, Iowa,on June 1, 2024.
She is survived by her son,Michael (Susan) Stahly; her daughter,Susan Stahly McRae (Christopher);her grandchildren,Luke (Megan) Donnenwerth, Lisa (Marco) Gonzales, Neal (Bethany) McRae, Thaddaeus (Amanda Garcia) McRae, Nathan McRae, Cody (Kia) Stahly, Desiree Stahly (Marvin Royer), and many great-grandchildren.
